The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters

As a last minute plan last night zzbottom and I went to see The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.

I am not a big video gamer, but very much enjoyed the film and the story they where telling. 100% worth watching and would recommend it.

Documentaries try to be un-bias but there are always sides they are showing in the characters. One of our fellow movie viewers (who was in the movie for 1 second) let us know before the start that they "forgot" to say some things and thus it was not 100% the true story. I am guessing he is a Billy disciple :)

There is an extreme sub-culture that lives and breaths this life. The success of the 80's still carries them through the days of today. The folks who where not around in the 80's are making goals of their lives to live up to their idols of the 80's.

Idon't get the Billy disciple reference. But having been in more than one documentary, and having friends who were in others, it is impressive how much you can shape the narrative.

Did you see the movie?

Billy Mitchell is the record holder from the 80's and is the one who people need to beat. Like any other section of culture, there are folks on the top and those who are out to take them down.

Billy seems to have a possy. The guy in the theater was at the part of the taping that was done at Fun Spot (http://www.funspotnh.com/).

We are thinking November, but no date is set yet. Sounds like there are a bunch of interested folks :)
