Odd Connections

So while getting my massage on Monday I was talking with my masseuse about some of the projects coorr & I took on for the up coming wedding. I said something about brewing and the next words out of her mouth were "You brew do you want hops?"

What?

I guess her husband has a whole bunch growing in the backyard and isn't up for dealing with drying them this year. I let her know if they were varieties we use that we would be interested. The next day I had an email from her and yes the two types he has are key to our IPA. I emailed and said if the beginning of October worked for him we would come get them. Now we need to wait and see if he can hand on to them that long.

If it all works our this should make for an interesting experiment and hopefully very yummy beer this winter.
